Inspiration at the Beach

Saturday at the Beach

Beach in fall

It was a magnificent day last Saturday on the Beach! Fall is fabulous at the shoreline! The salt air is crisp but not too chilly, and there’s not many tourists. We were there early in the morning, around 8 am. The view of the clouds over the ocean was so beautiful I had to share it with you!

Be Inspired!

As we walked along the boardwalk, it’s common to see chalk writing on the pavement. They have 5k runs and relays along the boardwalk quite often. I love reading the messages to the runners. This time, however, one of the messages really hit home! It’s great encouragement and inspiration.

You don't have to see the whole stairs... Just take the first step

You don’t have to see the whole staircase… Just take the first step

It’s true! You don’t have to see the whole staircase to take the first step… Sometimes things come to us that feel good to us, but we don’t know the whole picture before embracing it. Sometimes we have been burned by not doing our due diligence before embracing something. So I agree that investigating something is important. However, there are those who cannot embrace anything out of fear of the impending result. That paralyzing fear prevents us from enjoying life. There needs to be a proper balance. That is something that is accomplished with energy work. Fears are replaced with confidence once all the shock and trauma of the past is released and cleared.

Can you take that first step?

Energy work is subtle and easy. A skilled practitioner can locate crimps in the energy field that you many not have realized you have. Eliminating those crimps opens up your ability to make a sound decision. It helps you to be able to confidently know when you need more information, or when you can embrace something that sounds good for you or your family.

I Invite you

Happy Halloween Healthy Style!

Halloween and Healthy… aren’t they opposites?

snickers yum

Since we strive all year to teach our family how important it is to avoid sugar, what do we do at Halloween time??? WE FIND RECIPES TO REPLACE THE GARBAGE!

Paleo Recipes to the rescue!

Almond cups

Last year I was thrilled to find “The Paleo Kid’s Halloween: 15 Delicious Halloween Candies and Treats”. (I have it listed in my recommendations at the lower right. The treats are both healthy and delicious!I made Chocolate covered Marshmellows and Almond Butter Cups last year.

Check out This Year!

choc covered marshmellows yeah

This year I made the marshmellows again by request, and the butter cups, but also included a new recipe I found this year… Healthy Snickers bars! snickers inside

Just look at that yumminess! I especially enjoy the chocolate covered fingers giving the thumbs up!

Almond pieces

It’s our hope that the boys will enjoy these treats more than the junky garbage they receive while trick or treating. They also are encouraged to bring their Halloween candy home, and if they don’t eat any of it, their mom buys it off of them. They just love this and love getting to buy something in place of all that sugar.

So, if you’re like us and have wonderful memories of Halloween and trick-or-treating, but don’t want your kids to have all that sugar or the health issues that come from it, consider making your own! It’s easy and FUN!!! Makes for a great tradition!!! Oh, and by the way… we won’t be handing out candy this year. Sorry kids… Geoff & I will be hiding in our bedroom, watching movies and eating our goodies!

I encourage you…

Finding Calm

In this life we have so much going on all the time. So much to do, so much to accomplish, so much to experience. We must not forget that we need to maintain balance in order for maintain our health.

Everything in life has a rhythm…

beach

Some rhythms are stress inducing and some are relaxing. I choose today to focus on the relaxing rhythms like that of the ocean. The ocean is a powerful force. And yet is is also a very calming force. You need not worry that the surf will cease, or miss a rotation. It is ever present. The sound is very calming. Empty your mind and focus on the surf as you view this short video clip:

What brings you relief from stress?

beach3

Is it the aroma of a scent? or maybe a diversion? I work with many people who struggle at times releasing stress. Find the underlying emotion that is causing the stress and the stress will be easy to release.

We are meant to be wise in caring for our own individual bodies.

Mr Smith

You must find what is best for you personally. The only way to truly discover what is best for you is for you to try all methods that come to you. You are constantly bringing to you what your body needs. You are responsible for maintaining your health. A good choice is taking a break ever so often. Personally I really feel recharged when I can get away and force myself to do something different. I spent most of September doing just that. Here is a shot of Mr. Smith enjoying the grounds of our hotel in Hawaii…

Building Back Good Health!

Everyone’s talking about getting healthy!

sweet success

Everywhere you look there are advertisements for remedies for whatever ails you! Good health is quite the market! As an energy practitioner, I lean more towards natural methods. I understand the vibration that everything on this earth has. We want to maintain a high vibration for optimal health. A few comparisons…

Fast food = low vibration; Raw organic vegetables and fruits = a much higher vibration so they would be a better choice rather than fast food. Over the counter cold medications = a low vibration because there is nothing really ‘living’ in the product – most is synthetically processed in a lab. Essential oils = a much higher vibration because they are extracted from a living plant, and either cold processed or steam processed without chemicals. Exercise = a very high vibration as opposed to playing video games or watching TV.

There are natural choices to improve health

what are essential oilsI have been using essential oils for nearly 3 years now. I rarely feel under the weather. I rarely get sick. I can’t recall the last time I was sick! I thought it was only because as an energy practitioner I can plug the high vibration of anything into my energy system to prevent illness. However, recently I was speaking to some friends who also had been using essential oils for a few years. They reported the same findings. They could not recall the last time they were ill with a cold or flu. I take vitamin supplements that contain essential oils to support a good foundation of health, and I use the essential oils for support when needed. I also eliminate chemical fragrances and products where ever possible in my home environment. All of these measures contribute to an excellent quality of life.

I highly recommend these practices to you

Not because someone else told me about these practices and I’m passing them on to you, but because I have personal and family experience. I would be happy to talk to you if you are interested in improving your health utilizing energy work or  Essential Oils. Please contact me and allow me the opportunity to teach you how to best obtain these products.

First day of 4th grade!

Memories!

I still recall my first day of 4th grade. My mom got me out of bed super early and had me take a bath and she made a formal dinner. She had recently gotten out of the hospital and was determined to fix a proper breakfast for her family every day… I’m kind of grateful that only happened a few days. My teacher, Mrs. Reed, commented towards the end of the school year how silly my hair looked on the first day of school. She was such a fun teacher! I was scared of her at first, but she was really down to earth and I learned a lot from her.

Gavin & Alex’s First Day Back to School!

we're cool

Here we are… and Grandma said I couldn’t wear my hat

studious

Yes, I know my brother loves me!

My grandsons have such delightful senses of humor. Their personalities are delightful. We discussed at length how important it is to make a good first impression today… and yes, they both wore the Focus Blend today.

brotherly love

Yes… he really loves me… I get it.

We had fun taking a few pictures! These pictures tell a story!

funny brother

He makes me smile with his faces. He enjoys being a clown… oh oh!

It has been such an interesting experience to witness the relationship between them over the years…

They support each other and they vie for dominance. It’s an interesting dance they participate in. We’re grateful that so far they are friends!

Al's face

OK… this is the face Alex does that Gavin appreciates.

grrrr

Grandma said I could wear my hat!

And now, Gavin says,  “I get to wear my hat!” and Alex approves.

So after some time…

bored now

Can we go to school now?

Boredom sets in… and of course no 9 year old boy wants to be bored.

May your family be safe, happy, healthy and grateful as a new school year begins!
