Wouldn’t it be wonderful to go to work every day and feel happy and productive? Think of how wonderful it would feel to be able to say “I am truly blessed” and believe it! This is all possible! When things don’t feel quite right, there are some negative emotions trapped in your energy field. Those emotions are easily released! The Monthly Group Call is a great way to maintain a strong, positive energy system!

Our Big Splurge! Yonanas!

Do you love ice-cream?

…but have sworn off all those chemicals, processed sugars, fat and dairy? That was the position we were in. My husband has LOVED ice-cream all his life, but made a serious, life changing adjustment to his diet. He feels great now and had enjoyed his body healing and improving, however, he missed ice-cream.

WHAT AN EXCITING FIND!

We were at Bed, Bath and Beyond over the weekend and decided to buy a Yonanas frozen fruit soft serve machine because of a video that was similar to this one being shown in the store:

If you can’t see the video, click here for the link

Disclaimer… though I recommend the ice cream portion of the video, I do not recommend the waffles or any other extra ingredient suggested in the video. I’m a purist! Just the fruit please!

It was devoured before we even thought of the camera!

I have to apologize that we didn’t take our own pictures… we just didn’t believe it could be THIS GOOD!!!

There was one drawback…

Seriously, the hardest part about this was waiting the suggested 10 minutes for the frozen fruit to arrive at the perfect temperature to feed through the chute. Once we turned on the machine, in about 40 seconds, we had the most creamy, delicious and satisfying ice-cream! And the only ingredients were 3 frozen bananas and about 8 frozen strawberries! That was enough to delight both me and my husband and our twin grandsons – one of which has a hollow leg!

So many choices!

We can’t wait to try mixing peaches & bananas and even some cantaloupe! I even read where someone mixed kiwi with avocados! I would adore that!!! Maybe I better try planting another avocado tree – or maybe not… I’ll save that explanation for another blog post!

For your convenience…

I’ve included a link in My Recommendations to the right where you can purchase it from Amazon. It’s on a slide show, but you can advance the show by running your mouse over the pictures and clicking the little arrows.

I am SO GRATEFUL!!!

I am just SO GRATEFUL for this wonderful little machine because now we can eat healthy and no longer be tempted to eat unhealthy foods for desserts. It seriously doesn’t get any better than this… OH WAIT… I forgot acai berry frozen concentrate! There’s just so much you can do with this little wonder machine.

Join me

DSC_0004I hope you will join me in changing your diet from eating refined sugars and processed food. There’s really no reason to eat in that manner! Your healthy body is waiting for your permission to blossom! After all, we do not know how long we will live on this earth, so we may as well do all we can to ensure we have a good quality of life until our graduating departure. The best way to do accomplish that is to eat a whole foods diet rich in fruits and vegetables.

Swing Dancing at Downtown Disney!

Dance like nobody’s watching!

Those of you that know me may know my husband and I love to swing dance Lindyhop style. We have been dancing for many years, and have loved all the different venues that have dancing available for all ages. Disneyland has had dancing available in the park since before I can remember. Walt Disney loved dancing. We used to buy premium passes so we could dance to the big band swing bands in the Carnation Plaza.

Rose & Dubbie

Rose & Dubbie

We even enjoyed dancing with many of Walt’s friends who survived him, though there are very few left. And though Rose & Dubbie are no longer with us, their memory will live on forever in our hearts and pictures!

and then the change…

Then the decision was made to turn the Carnation Plaza into a meet and greet place for the princesses. They closed down the dance area, and from what we understood, they wanted to give the dancers a place to dance, so they began having the bands in front of the ESPN store.

At first the dance floor was empty...

At first the dance floor was empty…

and then the dance floor became crowded!

and then the dance floor became crowded!

It was a great place to go and dance, though the dance floor began shrinking as more and more people realized how wonderful it was to dance there.

And the dance floor became more crowded. I heard rumors that the shops were upset that the dancers were in the way, and not spending enough money. I’m sure that happened, too, as dancing is much more fun than eating or shopping and more and more people began to agree with me!

and more change…

And then the inevitable happened… they reopened the princess area to dancing and cancelled dancing at Downtown Disney. The reason we are sad about this is because we no longer desire to purchase the premium pass – have you seen the price tag? We just cannot justify that price for dancing on some Saturday nights. There are many places to dance, and since we don’t go out dancing as often due to work schedules, it just doesn’t make sense to invest that much money.

Debbie, Katie and friends

However, we have missed our friends who dance there. It was a great place to dance where dancing started at 6:30 instead of 9:00 like most places.

Then I heard a rumor that if I blogged about it that Disney is considering re-opening Downtown Disney Swing… could it be true? I was told that Disney listens to blogs! So all we had to do was blog about them re-opening. If Disney is in fact reading this blog post, let me first thank you for the 18 or so months of great dancing at Downtown Disney! And allow me to be a voice of encouragement to include dancing again at Downtown Disney!

Love dancing with Phil!!!

Love dancing with Phil!!!

I’m here today to add my blog post to many others who are hoping Disney will make the decision to resume dancing in the Downtown area.

A little encouragement to dance…

Love the balboa!

Love the balboa!

When you dance with a partner where respectful touch is involved, like a lead and follow dance, it can feel like a hug. We all understand that hugging releases endorphins and can create a euphoric feeling. As an energy practitioner we also refer to this as raising our vibrational frequency. It’s really hard to be depressed, worried or suffer from the negative emotions when you’re dancing. It’s wonderfully therapeutic! Check out dancing and see what you think!

Just a little plug for the blogging challenge this blog post is included in… I’ve taken the challenge to blog every day for 31 days!!! This is a great group of people!! Love this challenge!

Laughter Therapy: after all it is the best medicine!

Carolyn Cooper had taught me how to live a new life with the use of SimplyHealed™. I love her philosophies, too… Here’s what she has to say about Laughter

“A clown is like an aspirin, only he works twice as fast.” (Groucho Marx)

We’ve all been there. Maybe sitting in a restaurant, an office waiting room, or shopping at the grocery store and you hear someone laughing heartily or uncontrollably giggling. It’s hard to not smile and maybe even (depending on how great the laugh is) begin giggling yourself. Laughter is contagious–just hearing laughter primes your brain and readies you to smile and join in on the fun. Laughter is so good for us in so many ways…..

Balances your Energy Systems

Laughter makes you feel good. And the good feeling that you get when you laugh remains with you even after the laughter subsides. Humor helps you keep a positive, optimistic outlook through difficult situations, disappointments, and loss. It literally raises your energetic vibration, so not only do you feel better, it radiates to everyone else around you. More than just a respite from sadness and pain, laughter gives you the courage and strength to find new sources of meaning and hope. Often during an energy clearing session clients want to work on having more clarity and opening up to more creativity. I like to pose the question, “How many times this week have you had a really good laugh?” Sometimes until we talk about it, they don’t get the connection, but laughter can have a huge effect on your creative processes. It opens your mind and heart and strengthens your aura!

Increases Joy in Relationships

When we laugh with one another, a positive bond is created. This bond acts as a strong buffer against stress, disagreements, and disappointment. Shared laughter is one of the most effective tools for keeping relationships fresh and exciting. Humor is a powerful and effective way to heal resentments and hurts and it unites people during difficult times. Humor and playful communication strengthen our relationships by triggering positive feelings and fostering emotional connection. I always love to see a couple that has been together for years, and they still laugh at each other’s semi-humorous comments. That speaks volumes about their relationship. Mutual laughter and play are an essential component of strong, healthy relationships. By making a conscious effort to incorporate more humor and play into your daily interactions, you can improve the quality of your love relationships– as well as your connections with co-workers, family members, and friends.

Benefits your Physical Health

In addition, laughter triggers healthy physical changes in the body. Did you know a good, hearty laugh relieves physical tension and stress, leaving your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after? Laughter also decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease. It triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain. Laughter protects the heart by improving the function of blood vessels and increasing blood flow, which can help protect you against a heart attack and other cardiovascular problems.
The focus on the benefits of laughter really began with Norman Cousin’s memoir, Anatomy of an Illness. Cousins, who was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, a painful spine condition believed that he could, cure himself, even against all the specialists’ prognoses. He used humor as both a painkiller and a substitute for chemical therapy. He found that by watching a lot of comedies, like Marx Brothers films and episodes of Candid Camera, he was, in fact able to heal. He said that ten minutes of laughter allowed him two hours of pain-free sleep.

Emotionally

Humor helps you be more spontaneous by getting you out of your head and away from your troubles. It helps you let go of defensiveness, by helping you forget judgments, criticisms, and doubts. Laughter also helps to release unhealthy inhibitions. It brings you to a place where you can set aside your fear of holding back.

Developing a sense of humor about yourself opens you up to taking more risks that will move you forward in all aspects of your life.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Laughter is a natural part of life that is innate and inborn. Infants begin smiling during the first weeks of life and laugh out loud within months of being born. Sometimes we as adults get so busy with the ‘important’ things on our to do list, we neglect the levity that is so much needed in our lives. So how do we add more light and laughter into our lives? Even if you did not grow up in a household where laughter was a common sound, or if you did and you’ve forgotten how important that is, you can learn to laugh at any stage of life.
Here are some ways to start:
  • Smile. Smiling is the beginning of laughter. Like laughter, it’s contagious. Pioneers in “laugh therapy” find it’s possible to laugh without even experiencing a funny event. The same holds for smiling. When you look at someone or see something even mildly pleasing, practice smiling.
  • Count your blessings. Literally make a list. The simple act of considering the good things in your life will distance you from negative thoughts that are a barrier to humor and laughter.
  • When in a state of sadness, we have further to travel to get to humor and laughter
  • When you hear laughter, move toward it. Sometimes humor and laughter are private, a shared joke among a small group, but usually not. More often, people are very happy to share something funny because it gives them an opportunity to laugh again and feed off the humor you find in it. When you hear laughter, seek it out and ask, “What’s funny?”
  • Spend time with fun, playful people. These are people who laugh easily-both at themselves and at life’s absurdities-and who routinely find the humor in everyday events. Their playful point of view and laughter are contagious.
  • Bring humor into conversations. Ask people, “What’s the funniest thing that happened to you today? This week? In your life?”
Anyone can join the laughter movement. All it takes is a willingness to see the humor in things. Now of course you understand I’m talking about good, wholesome humor. Not sarcasm that is funny to only some and hurtful to others. There’s more than enough negativity in our world. We want to be able to be optimistic; laugh when we have a choice of being annoyed or seeing humor in our daily situations. All we have to do is allow ourselves to relax, lighten up and look for opportunities to lift our spirit and the spirits of those around us. Laughter is feeling deeply which allows us to live fully.
Humor lightens your burdens, inspires hopes, connects you to others, and keeps you grounded, focused, and alert. Here are a couple of great quotes from men who faced grim circumstances and still understood laughter’s power to heal, renew and take the edge off of surmounting problems.
“Gentlemen, why don’t you laugh? With the fearful strain that is upon me day and night, if I did not laugh I should die, and you need this medicine as much as I do.” Abraham Lincoln, during the Civil War
I would never have made it if I could not have laughed. Laughing lifted me momentarily . . . out of this horrible situation, just enough to make it livable . . . survivable.” Victor Frankl, survived Nazi concentration camp
Laughter is a powerful antidote to stress, pain, and conflict. Nothing works faster or more dependably to bring your mind and body back into balance than a good laugh. Best of all, this priceless medicine is fun, free, and easily accessible!
Love Talking about Energy Healing!
I love talking about Energy Healing… educating others helps them to realize there is another alternative! I am a Certified SimplyHealed™ Practitioner. I’m pleased to share with you that…
My associate Julie Christensen does a fabulous job explaining energy healing… I love hearing her talk about it!
The Fact is…
When there is an ailment of any kind that is physically being experienced, there is an energetic root that started the cycle! Our bodies actually tell us there are stored negative emotions that need to be released by giving us symptoms of illness – sometimes serious illness. Have you ever – in your entire life – felt deeply saddened by something? Maybe you experienced a loss in your family, or maybe you were severely disappointed or felt victimized. How about having your feelings hurt by a sibling or class mate. Have you ever argued with someone you had a strong connection to like your parents or spouse? If you have had any of these, or similar experiences when you felt emotional – even if only briefly, you have stored those negative emotions somewhere in your physical body. Over time, those trapped emotions manifest in illness, repeating relationship difficulties or even financial discord. Also, you may be taking medication for an ailment. That ailment may return should you need to stop taking the medication because the trapped negative emotion has not been released.
Energy Healing, the best tool!
There are many methods of energy healing available today. I prefer the SimplyHealed™ Method because it is lightning fast and thorough. Many trapped emotions are released without verbalizing them or even identifying them as we move though the SimplyHealed™ protocol.
I invite you…
to take a moment and explore this site. Learn about the alternative to what ever methods you may have used to this point. Our paths have crossed for a reason… I look forward to speaking with you!
About Loretta:
DSC_0004I have had a typical life where I have, from time to time, experienced severe emotional stress and trauma. I have experienced many of the emotions that are relayed to me by my clients. Since I have experienced them and released them energetically, I know how it feels, and I know the difference it can make once those emotions are cleared out. Life was meant to be joyous. Thank you for allowing me to share this with you today!
