Summertime is the traditional time for vacations!

The weather is great! Kids are out of school! People naturally flock to the beach, resorts or other recreational or scenic places. Family reunions or family vacations are abundant!

We remember the Griswolds, right!?! Hopefully we won’t have memories like that!

I had originally planned, for this very reason to have the Group Energy Call to be on Family Relationships. However, MY family is coming into town, so I want to spend all the time I can with them. I am canceling the group call for July. I’m sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause. It is my hope that you can enjoy your family, or dear friends and you can spend some great R&R time, too.

Huntington Beach is gearing up for the US Open Surfing Championships. Every year this is a HUGE event. The city transforms the beach into an amazing shopping area. The crowds are unbelievable!

 

 

 

The Jr. Lifeguard program is a very popular one here in Huntington Beach! The energy from these kids is amazing! jr lifeguards2

It’s a strange feeling when you realize you’re hitting a milestone like your 60th birthday! Wow! Where did the time go?! I don’t feel 60… or at least I don’t feel the way I perceived I would feel when I was younger. Who knows what 60 is supposed to feel like anyway! Often times when attending a call, many more issues are cleared than those that are vocalized on the call. This is an added benefit of attending the monthly Group Session Call!

Grateful for Snoring!

I bet you’ve never heard someone say THAT!snoring

Really? Grateful for Snoring???

Last night I had an experience with my dear husband that really punctuated my gratitude. My husband has been having some concerns with his employment. He regrets his choice of occupations, and has endured a rocky road with his choice. I woke up last night with him sitting up in bed with an uncomfortable feeling in his chest. His anxious thoughts were literally running away with him, causing his heart to race.

Half Asleep isn’t my A game!

Since I was half asleep, I encouraged him to apply some essential oils, but he wasn’t finding support or strength from them. By this time, I was awake, and my body was wanting to get up thinking I had slept my full night’s sleep. So I got up, went in the bathroom and applied some oils to lull me back to sleep. While I was up, the thought came to me that he needed energy work, and not just a dedication, as I would normally do in the middle of the night. So I climbed back into bed, and walked him through a mini session to realign his energy and flush all the crazy, false thoughts running through his mind, along with strengthening his vibration. When I finished, he became very quiet and still, so I held his hand thinking to check for a pulse – he was that still! Then moments later I heard soft gentle snoring. I was so grateful to hear that! It told me that he was back to sleep and resting peacefully. In what normally would have been hours of anxiously watching the clock, in moments he was peacefully sleeping.

What Gives You the Support You Need?

I’m grateful for essential oils and the wonderful gifts that come from the earth. They are glorious. I’m also very grateful for understanding energy and the ability I have to clear it when the urgent occasion presents itself!

The Drought of Adversity

Many of you may know that California, where I live, has been in a serious drought. All around us we see the plants, trees and grasses dying off. It’s a symbol of adversity. Adversity, if we allow it can tear us apart, cause us to hold onto or cultivate negative thoughts, and create illness in our body or in our existence. Or… it can make us stronger. It’s all up to us and the way we choose to perceive it. We are born with a wonderful attribute – DETERMINATION.

Choosing to be Strong in the Face of Adversity

I looked out at my yard the other day and was shocked at what I saw! The plumerias are not only surviving the drought, they are flourishing! I’ve never seen the bush so large and full of blooms! It is easily double in size and much fuller and lush than it has ever been! It was an affirmation to me that this little tree is determined to flourish and be beautiful in spite of the adversity it is currently under!

We can take a lesson from this beauty in nature. When we are faced with adversity… be it a small set back or a huge life changing catastrophe, what is our attitude? Do we shrivel up and die? Or do we reach deep into our reservoir of determination and find a way around the adversity? For some it may just be changing our thought process. In other situations, it may be uprooting our life.

In a conversation with my dad many years ago, I asked him how he faced the adversity in his life. He told me he just laced up his boot strings tightly and just kept going, moving forward until he could feel comfortable resting. Those were very wise words that came from a man who faced a lot of adversity in his life. I’ve never forgotten those words. And now I extend his words to you. I hope I have helped you in your resolve to dig deep into those reserves of determination. Know that whatever it is that you struggle with right now, will pass, and you can and will rise triumphant! Allow the adversity to bring out the best in you. Find the positive thoughts within. Fill your heart & soul with gratitude for all that is good and wonderful surrounding you – both now and in the future! Take a deep breath and tighten your boot laces and move forward!
