Wouldn’t it be wonderful to go to work every day and feel happy and productive? Think of how wonderful it would feel to be able to say “I am truly blessed” and believe it! This is all possible! When things don’t feel quite right, there are some negative emotions trapped in your energy field. Those emotions are easily released! The Monthly Group Call is a great way to maintain a strong, positive energy system!

New, Refreshing Restaurant Concept!

OK, so my husband is a “Foodie”. He loves finding new places, reading about them and sharing them. His newest find is this little place in SoCo in Costa Mesa. Honestly, I was very pleasantly surprised!

As you are probably aware, I prefer filling my body with living foods… but it’s pretty hard to find a good variety of those types of restaurants, and satisfy the many appetites in a family. So I’ve totally enjoyed finding places that offer compromise. I can order what I want, and whom ever I’m with can order what they want. This is the perfect place for that. Yes, they have meat, and cheese… but they also offer THIS!

BYOsalad

Can I just say I’m in HEAVEN!!! This is seriously the best Build Your Own Salad I’ve seen offered! Yes, of course they offer many more things than salads, but salads interest me more than anything else. I chose in category 1 a combination of mixed baby greens, kale and baby arugula. Then added in category 2, avocado, humus, artichoke hearts and toasted coconut. I skipped category 3, though they offer a vegan patty, grilled portabello mushrooms and marinated tofu. Then in category 4 I chose Nonna’s Basil Pesto.

Pictures of the actual salad didn’t happen… sorry… but let me just tell you it was WONDERFUL and HUGE! If my husband and I wanted to order soup, we could have seriously split the salad. But today my husband opted to order one of the other salad options that had grilled eggplant, carrots, sun-dried tomatoes and corn. It was delicious and huge as well.

I know this is a restaurant with a few locations. Here’s the website link for your convenience  http://www.greenleafchopshop.com/

Generational Healing – the fun part about Energy healing

Generational Healing? What’s that?

Many people even those who are familiar with energy healing are not familiar with Generational Healing. This is one of the wonderful aspects of having a SimplyHealed™ Energy Healing session.

Energy work is a simple approach to changing your thought patterns. You can change your DNA through your thoughts. As you change your thoughts, you change your attitude from negative to positive and the world opens up for you.

A brief explanation…

Upon viewing a newborn infant we admire all the physical traits inherited from mother or father; what we can not see are the emotions, experiences and wisdom inherited from many generations of mothers and fathers. Referring to our DNA, experiences of our ancestors are not lost but rather are imprinted upon the cells in our bodies. This is known as cellular memory. Emotions and experiences of our ancestors can affect our lives and our family’s lives. Re-balancing our energy releases the negative emotions and experiences inherited from our ancestors.

An explanation by Carolyn Cooper, Founder of the SimplyHealed Method®

Swing Dancing at Downtown Disney!

Dance like nobody’s watching!

Those of you that know me may know my husband and I love to swing dance Lindyhop style. We have been dancing for many years, and have loved all the different venues that have dancing available for all ages. Disneyland has had dancing available in the park since before I can remember. Walt Disney loved dancing. We used to buy premium passes so we could dance to the big band swing bands in the Carnation Plaza.

Rose & Dubbie

Rose & Dubbie

We even enjoyed dancing with many of Walt’s friends who survived him, though there are very few left. And though Rose & Dubbie are no longer with us, their memory will live on forever in our hearts and pictures!

and then the change…

Then the decision was made to turn the Carnation Plaza into a meet and greet place for the princesses. They closed down the dance area, and from what we understood, they wanted to give the dancers a place to dance, so they began having the bands in front of the ESPN store.

At first the dance floor was empty...

At first the dance floor was empty…

and then the dance floor became crowded!

and then the dance floor became crowded!

It was a great place to go and dance, though the dance floor began shrinking as more and more people realized how wonderful it was to dance there.

And the dance floor became more crowded. I heard rumors that the shops were upset that the dancers were in the way, and not spending enough money. I’m sure that happened, too, as dancing is much more fun than eating or shopping and more and more people began to agree with me!

and more change…

And then the inevitable happened… they reopened the princess area to dancing and cancelled dancing at Downtown Disney. The reason we are sad about this is because we no longer desire to purchase the premium pass – have you seen the price tag? We just cannot justify that price for dancing on some Saturday nights. There are many places to dance, and since we don’t go out dancing as often due to work schedules, it just doesn’t make sense to invest that much money.

However, we have missed our friends who dance there. It was a great place to dance where dancing started at 6:30 instead of 9:00 like most places.

Then I heard a rumor that if I blogged about it that Disney is considering re-opening Downtown Disney Swing… could it be true? I was told that Disney listens to blogs! So all we had to do was blog about them re-opening. If Disney is in fact reading this blog post, let me first thank you for the 18 or so months of great dancing at Downtown Disney! And allow me to be a voice of encouragement to include dancing again at Downtown Disney!

Love dancing with Phil!!!

Love dancing with Phil!!!

I’m here today to add my blog post to many others who are hoping Disney will make the decision to resume dancing in the Downtown area.

A little encouragement to dance…

Love the balboa!

Love the balboa!

When you dance with a partner where respectful touch is involved, like a lead and follow dance, it can feel like a hug. We all understand that hugging releases endorphins and can create a euphoric feeling. As an energy practitioner we also refer to this as raising our vibrational frequency. It’s really hard to be depressed, worried or suffer from the negative emotions when you’re dancing. It’s wonderfully therapeutic! Check out dancing and see what you think!

Just a little plug for the blogging challenge this blog post is included in… I’ve taken the challenge to blog every day for 31 days!!! This is a great group of people!! Love this challenge!

Ahhh Tradition!

Tradition!

Some have traditions, others wish they had traditions, in the production Fiddler on the Roof, tradition has been put to song. The act of tradition warms the heart and brings family close. Tradition sparks emotion, yes, those very emotions that we store in our bodies that either boost us energetically or cause us to move into a state of dis-ease. This tradition cultivates positive emotions for me and feels wonderful!

A favorite tradition of mine…

Zion National Park

Zion National Park

As family passes on and the last few members of a generation are left, some traditions become more cherished. Now this little family tradition of ours may seem silly to some, but it was started by a beloved aunt and uncle who live near Zion’s National Park. We all sit on a certain bench, and cross our legs in the same manner. In the home of our aunt and uncle, there is a wall full of pictures of family sitting in this pose!

Cousins!!!!

Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach

Since there are rare times when family can visit us, we decided to extend this tradition when family can come! Our cousin had the same thought as we did that we should take this picture… I only wish we would have thought of this sooner when we have had other family members visit! When family visited this weekend, we took some similar pictures. We haven’t established the perfect bench or sitting area, but figure we will do it in all areas at the beach.

So this blog post is to establish that we are carrying on this simply but meaningful tradition. You see, traditions don’t need to be complex to be wonderful. They can be fun and silly, too! Of course, living with a photographer, one picture will never do! I’m just wondering which wall I should dedicate to my pictures of family with crossed legs at the beach!

You just never know

what silly things families will do that become cherished activities… that foster emotions that well up inside of us of the love we have for our families. I’m so grateful for the family that I love dearly!
