Happy Thanksgiving!

My friends!

We have reached that time of year that Geoff likes to call the Holiday Slide! It begins with Halloween and before you know it the new year is picking up steam! I love this time of year!

Over the many years that I’ve enjoyed the privilege of working with you, a common theme keeps coming up. I don’t know if I’m attracting this because of the energy around me, or if it’s just human nature. May I be so bold as to say, this year we need to make a change, and the change begins with us.

Brigham YoungA very wise man who lead a church across the prairies of the US and re-established it in the wilderness of Utah in the mid 1800’s said, “He who takes offense when no offense is intended is a fool, and he who takes offense when offense is intended is a greater fool.” That man was Brigham Young. Do you know of a time when a family member offended you? Were they really trying to offend you? Sometimes family members can be real stinkers and will lash out because they are hurting. It takes a lot of fortitude to be able to set one’s own feelings aside and not be offended when someone you care about displays a little tantrum. In a society that teaches people to think only of themselves, and be ultra critical of others, maybe some people are just holding on by a thread, trying to survive another day. Believe me, it’s so much more pleasant to endure day to day when there’s not emotional scars looming over.

It is my hope that we can celebrate Thanksgiving this year with a heart full of gratitude. List all that you’re grateful for. List all of your blessings. Then I want you to list your mistakes and how they’ve become blessings to help you not repeat those mistakes. Also list your trials and look at those trials with new, open eyes, and see how they have been blessings in disguise.

One trial I thought I had was that we didn’t make enough money. I fretted about it for many years. Then one day I realized that we have never gone without the basics… food, shelter, warmth, water, safety. We have always been cared for. Now I’m grateful for that trial so I can feel security knowing we are always taken care of. It has been so helpful during years when there were employment issues hovering around us.

Geoff at Skyworks cafeI hope with all my heart that you will feel the heartfelt gratitude that comes when you realize all the blessings you’ve been given and continue to receive. This year I am so grateful we have made it to retirement! It’s been wonderful having my precious husband with me all day every day. We have had such fun together just being together. It’s been fun sharing the household chores and watching the old TV shows together. We go to the gym and shopping together. What a blessing he is to me!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Feelin’ a bit emotional…

Scan0189My heart is full today. Every night as I close my day I say a prayer of gratitude. I’m so grateful for the amazing blessings that fill my life that there are days it’s difficult to welcome sleep because of the excitement of my blessings! Everyday I wake I feel gratitude swell in my heart. I begin each and every day with a prayer of gratitude. There were days in years past when I had difficulty leaving the comfort of my bed because I was in need of emotional comfort.

For those of you who know me, you know I’m a religious person. I love the scriptures and the support I receive from them, especially in situations where I might feel distress. Today my heart is full of many emotions for my many friends, clients, associates and family members who at the moment are living their day to day lives without a companion.

In years past, I taught an early morning religion class to high school students. Seminary, as it is called, was a fun and grueling experience. There were things in the curriculum that I taught that have stayed with me throughout the years. One such scripture, found in 2 Timothy 3:3. At the time that I taught that lesson, we were all truly babes – having complete innocence to what was to come. Here are the verses:

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

It was interesting to read this at the time with my young students, we wondered what kind of a world it would be. It is daunting to now live in this prophesied and now realized world. I’m grateful for the many men who have grown towards the Lord in their progression through their lives, but I also sorrow for the many men who have fallen into these prophesies – good men! It is truly the cause for so many women’s sorrows. It’s amazing to me how many single women there are today – and single men, too! Men or women who will not commit to one person and have the opportunity to grow together as one and reap the blessings and increase in the bonds of love because they fear divorce or being with someone that isn’t ideal. There are no ideal people out there. We were meant to overlook our imperfections and only see the divine in others. We were meant to have a mate to grow with for there are areas of growth that can only be obtained through a committed marital relationship.

I draw on the strength I receive from reading and striving to undgeoff_uke2erstand how the scriptures apply to my life. I relish in the strength I receive from understanding the Atonement applies to me personally – to lift me when low, and to direct me when life gets tough. I’m grateful I have lived the blessing of having a companion who is devoted to me, who puts up with me and yet still loves me, who has been angry or extremely frustrated with me yet has not given up on me the past 40 years. I know this is becoming more rare in our current world. It is my hope and prayer that men & women who have fallen into the prophesied trap will realize the path they are on, and change their path!

Supporting Physical Healing in Your Home

I talk a lot about the healing that happens when applying energy work. The results are nothing short of amazing. Today I’d like to discuss supporting your physical healing by the choice of what chemicals you use to clean your home.

In my past…

I used to own a janitorial business. With that business came the need to use industrial products so I could speed up cleaning time and cut costs buying a concentrate rather than a product on the store shelf. The products were so powerful that once I dripped some on the tail gate of my truck and immediately it stripped the paint all the way down to the metal. You can imagine what it did to my hands!

A more natural approach…

baking sodaMy friend told me to use baking soda in powder form in my shower and to add essential oils to that baking powder to kill bacteria. When I tried it I was amazed at how well it tackled the job of cleaning soap scum out of my shower! It was easy and effective just like the industrial strength chemicals, plus, soap scum didn’t accumulate as quickly as before. There was an invisible film of protection there.

Air Quality

When we utilize chemical laden deodorizers and cleaners in our homes, we create more toxic air quality than the pollutants outside! There’s really no need to use toxic chemicals to clean your home. I realize we are all busy people, and therefore we appreciate having products we can purchase to use to clean our homes rather than making concoctions at home. I love the Protective Blend line of Cleaning products. The Cleaner Concentrate bottle lasts forever because it is highly concentrated. One bottle of the Concentrate refills 12 spray bottles to use as a multipurpose cleaner. It is free of petroleum, ammonia, chlorine bleach, borates, phosphates, nitrates, and volatile organic cleaning compounds. Plus is is made with a blend of essential oils of Wild Orange, Clove Bud, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary. The oils not only smell divine but they help clean because they are anti-bacterial and anti-viral. Contact me for more information on how to receive these fabulous products for less than wholesale!

Happy Anniversary Sweetheart!

A Very Special Day!

Today my husband and I celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary! So I posted on Facebook today:  “Happy anniversary, Sweetheart. You are my very best friend. You give me strength and light. Thank you for your love, devotion, and support in all the things I choose to do. I love you with all my heart!” But that doesn’t really say much in my opinion. So I thought I would share today all the ways my dear husband enriches my life…

Hobbies, hobbies, HOBBIES!

I used to dread it when he would find he was interested in another hobby. But later I came to realize that his “hobbies” were how he was creating his life. For example, Photography. He has moved in and out of this hobby many times… I think I love this hobby more than any of the other hobbies! We have wonderful pictures of our family and I love using his creative eye in marketing materials! Recently he has taken some classes from experts that have sharpened his skill and have fascinated even me, a non-photographer!

There was a time when he put photography on hold because he felt when ever we went on vacation, he saw the entire vacation through the lens of a camera instead of in person! Truth be told, I could sympathize with him on that, but he has taken so many wonderful pictures that we cherish that I am grateful that he did view so many vacations through the lens of a camera!

Other of his hobbies have included Kung Fu San Soo, remote controlled airplanes, duel line kites, Lindyhop swing dancing, guitar, ukulele and more. I’m grateful I finally realized that his hobbies have blessed my life!

Our life has been blessed with the association of Grand Master Ted Sias, who is currently teaching Kung Fu San Soo to the 3rd generation in our family! We have enjoyed cultivating so many friendships through dancing and ukulele, too.

Our life together has truly been a rich experience because of Geoff’s desire to do so many things! I’m pretty content with moving on day to day. But had it not been for Geoff’s desires, I would have never seen, done and enjoyed so much! Thank you dear Sweetheart for many wonderful memories!

Deep Gratitude…

But most of all my life has been blessed with this kind, gentle man who loves me unconditionally and is a constant inspiration to me to be a better person. I love you, Sweetheart!

Generational Healing – the fun part about Energy healing

Generational Healing? What’s that?

Many people even those who are familiar with energy healing are not familiar with Generational Healing. This is one of the wonderful aspects of having a SimplyHealed™ Energy Healing session.

Energy work is a simple approach to changing your thought patterns. You can change your DNA through your thoughts. As you change your thoughts, you change your attitude from negative to positive and the world opens up for you.

A brief explanation…

Upon viewing a newborn infant we admire all the physical traits inherited from mother or father; what we can not see are the emotions, experiences and wisdom inherited from many generations of mothers and fathers. Referring to our DNA, experiences of our ancestors are not lost but rather are imprinted upon the cells in our bodies. This is known as cellular memory. Emotions and experiences of our ancestors can affect our lives and our family’s lives. Re-balancing our energy releases the negative emotions and experiences inherited from our ancestors.

An explanation by Carolyn Cooper, Founder of the SimplyHealed Method®
