Do your thoughts bless you or deceive you?

Scientists have said that an average person thinks around 60,000 thoughts a day, and only 1,000 of them are new thoughts. The rest are rehashed thoughts of the day before. What if your thoughts the day before were very negative? Or, on the flip side, what if your thoughts the day before were very positive? Or even intentionally very positive?

I used to be a “news junkie”. It was difficult for me not to watch the news. I found there were many falsities floating around in the opinions of those delivering the news. There were also a lot of negative emotions and limiting false beliefs being presented for my digestion at every thought expressed. I found my life was spiraling downward in all areas.Think for a moment who is delivering those stories and what their purpose for delivering them is. It’s their job, and their boss makes a lot of money bringing those stories to us. It’s very big business! What is left? Many scared, worried or stressed people concerned for their futures!

I’m not saying I advocate not knowing what’s going on. I check in now every week… but it’s just a check in to keep up with current events. I’m much happier when I am focused on my own thoughts – my thoughts of creating my existence. My life now is climbing to new heights every day!

Create Long Lasting Positive Thought Patterns

When I work with my clients, I try to leave them with something to refer back to should their thoughts begin to spiral downward. This can be an affirmation or 2 or even a Manifestation list to aid them in creating what they would like to see in their life. Often I assign homework such as keeping a Gratitude Journal. All of these things are tools to keep your thoughts positive so you can experience the desired change in your existence. I love receiving messages from clients that tell of their success! I rejoice in their success!

Focus on the Reality that is Positive in your life NOW!

We all have parts in our life that are not perfect. Dwelling upon them or talking about them holds them close to you. It’s OK to acknowledge they are there, but do not give them so much time or attention. Instead force yourself to focus on what you would like to create in your life. Dream of yourself actually living the dream in the now! You will be amazed at how soon you will be there. Have the courage to release the need to visit the negative parts of your life, and have the tenacity to find something positive to think about in every situation. What does YOUR dream look like? I am no different than you… I spent most of my life bathing in negative thoughts and negative thought patterns. I learned it didn’t produce what I wanted in my life. Ahhhh Sleep!

How is your sleep schedule?

I used to require 9 hours of sleep a night… I just couldn’t function on less. Since I’ve been performing energy work, I have found that I only require 7! And not only that, but my sleep cycle has changed. I was raised to be a night person. I still get a 2nd wind and thrive after 11 pm, however, I know to go to be earlier (and it is easier to go to bed earlier) because my sleep schedule now wakes me up between 5:30 and 6:00 am! I haven’t used an alarm clock for many years. I wake rested and anxiously ready to begin a new, wonderful day!

Why is that?

  • My depression is gone – energy work is very effective at eliminating symptoms and causes for depression.
  • I’ve shifted my diet – partly deliberately, partly not. I no longer eat meat – I never liked meat so this was easy for me and not so deliberate. I stopped eating dairy – this was more deliberate. I no longer eat processed sugars or grains. Of course there is an occasion from time to time that I may eat fish, but it doesn’t happen very often – maybe once or twice a month.
  • I have alleviated stress in my life by changing my attitude and tolerance for things I cannot change, and manifesting what I can change!
  • I enjoy exercising. It’s my alone time! I love a good sweat in the AM!
  • My energy has shifted and my body has followed suit to embrace what is best for my highest good.

A Leisurely Summer Hike

Is there really such thing as a leisurely hike?

So I just want you to know that I’m laughing as I’m creating this blog post!!! You see, there are just so many things to laugh about…

Here is a picture of me a year ago at El Moro Canyon State Park in Laguna Beach, CA. Notice the hat falling into my eyes… now that’s laughable!

In this picture, it was a pleasant temperature for a hike… we spent about an hour hiking. It was a lovely time. But today is AUGUST! It’s much warmer than in the Spring. We anticipated it being warm, so we were hiking by 8:30 AM. It was wonderful to be there with friends and family, enjoying the occasional cool canyon breeze and the sounds of nature.

What I learned from this hike…

OK, so it needs to be mentioned that at times, living with an athletic powerhouse of a daughter can have its advantages. One, I have a personal trainer in my home – way cool. However, the downside is I see her more than I see myself in the mirror, so I often forget my age and abilities. This is especially challenging when shopping for clothes, but that’s another blog post! So, I’ve learned…

  1. I really am 57 years old not 27, definitely not my daughter’s age, and must remember to condition for a 2 hour hike in the heat.
  2. Children are responsible for carrying their own water, and desired backpacks, sticks or other paraphernalia. What this means is Grandma is not your pack mule for your water, sticks and beloved rocks you want to bring back home. And don’t try to sneak your rocks into the backpack Grandma didn’t bring but is now wearing. Oh, and your water… when you get to the end of the trail and realize Grandma has your water (mainly because you didn’t want to carry it) and is still 500 feet behind you, please be patient when she arrives and needs water herself before she takes off your pack.
  3. Though I consider myself to be physically fit because I enjoy running for 30 minutes a few times each week, that doesn’t mean I’m in shape to run up and down hills or pull little kids up hills when they refuse to go any further.
  4. Gratitude statements and power poses really WORK to get you up the next hill!
  5. I am still capable of pushing myself in difficult situations, and still able to use wisdom to act when I see a short cut to the finish!

I’m sure there is so much more that I learned, but I’m exhausted and ready for a nap! I would just like to thank Marisa Liu for being a supportive hiking buddy. I couldn’t have made it without you!!!

As you view this beautiful music video, think of all the components. There are many people involved with the production of this video who are living their dream. All of them together created something truly lovely and touching. Normally I wouldn’t have gotten to view this beautiful music video, however, their is a certain person in this video that I care very deeply for. She has been pursuing her dreams for a long time and has succeeded because she is driven to succeed. This has been her choice. Did you see the aerial acrobat in the video? There are very brief clips of her beautifully graceful movements as she is suspended in the air, intertwined in fabric or tissu as it is referred to. She has spent years honing her ability to gracefully move through the air wrapped in tissu, and utilizing muscle groups toned to perfection. That acrobat is my daughter. Not only has she worked to be able to perform, but she has worked to create a business where she also teaches and is paid for professional performances.

What is your dream?

What is it that is keeping you from obtaining your dream? Are you truly living your dream? Does it look the way you had hoped with all the components in place? If so, congratulations! If not, treat yourself to some energy work. It’s truly amazing how fears can melt away, clarity and focus can be achieved and a new life path may be obtained!
