Although we feel great and look better when we stick to our exercise routines, sometimes they can be tiring. With dōTERRA’s Cedarwood essential oil, you can add an extra boost of vitality and wellness to your entire workout. Before beginning, I massage one to two drops onto my chest to maintain motivation throughout any workout.

Did you know that many people use Cedar oil for skin due to its purifying abilities? YouCedarwood can easily incorporate Cedarwood Essential Oil into your daily facial routine by simply adding one to two drops to your facial toner or moisturizer for added clarifying properties. The cleansing properties of Cedarwood Essential Oil can also help improve the appearance of skin imperfections.

Energetically Speaking

Cedarwood is known as the Oil of Community. Think of the strength you feel when united together for a cause or a belief. Cedarwood inspires emotional bonding to feel a belonging with other like minded people. It encourages an open heart to the love and support of those who care. It teaches that being social is safe.

My Favorite Cedarwood

Cedarwood also has properties that help soothe the mind and body. The warm, woody scent can create a calm, relaxing environment when used aromatically or topically. Diffusing Cedarwood oil in your home, office, or workspace can help promote feelings of confidence, self-esteem, and evoke feelings of wellness. Trying to Incorporate Essential Oils into Your Daily Life?

Are you looking for new ways to incorporate essential oil use in your life? This week we are highlighting the three main ways to use essential oils. Because of the purity of dōTERRA Essential oils, you can use them aromatically, topically, or internally. When using essential oils, pay attention to the labeling on the product because some oils have usage restrictions.perfumed body spray

For more in-depth instruction on essential oil usage, check out this page!

“Enjoy an essential oil aromatically by diffusing it through an essential oil diffuser, aromatic useapplying a drop to your hands and inhaling, or wearing it as a personal fragrance. You can benefit from topical use by using essential oils to give a back massage, applying it to a targeted area and rubbing it in, or by adding a drop or two to lotions or moisturizers.

The last way to use essential oils is by ingesting them or taking them internally. Add a drop to a glass of water, under your tongue or in a veggie capsule and the oil will move throughout your body. “ Remember, due to purity and strength, only drink essential oils in liquid that is in glass or stainless steel. Copaiba tea

On Guard – How We Love Thee!

With so many of my friends struggling with that respiratory illness right now, I thought to approach a very controversial subject… If you feel something coming on, or if you’re already ill…

  1. Don’t give up! Apply On Guard to bottoms of your feet, and where ever you feel discomfort. Gargle with it, make it into tea to drink, put it in your oats. 1-2 drops at a time, 3-4 times a day or when you need the comfort.

 Why On Guard?

When Dr. Hill created Thieves, he used Lemon. After more research, he decided with On Guard to use Wild Orange instead of Lemon. Why? Wild Orange is higher in monoterpenes and d Limonene! While Lemon Essential Oil is good for supporting the respiratory system, Wild Orange has a wider range of benefits. It may also help support the proper function of the digestive, immune, and nervous systems along with the respiratory system. But there’s one more concern… I have friends who started using Thieves in 1996 and found it to be really effective for 3 or 4 years. Then, sadly, the smell changed so that clove was the strongest scent and cinnamon was WAY less. The effectiveness diminished as a result. They have found On Guard to be as effective as Thieves was originally. And yes, you can safely ingest On Guard because the species of Eucalyptus, Eucalyptus Globulus that is used in On Guard is safe to ingest.

There are a few On Guard products that we never run out of… The hand wash, the hand sanitizer (which we also use as a throat spray) and the beadlets! We are forever grateful for the On Guard family of products!

Christmas Time! 2019

It’s crazy how fast time flies! So I won’t talk about that! But I want you to know how much I love this time of year when we celebrate the birth of Jesus! We do so many crazy things that stress us out this time of year. In a hope to simplify all of that, and place the importance where it should be, to feel gratitude for the gift of his birth and to instill in our family this perspective, this very busy grandmother writes a blog post to send to all my friends and family who so kindly remember us with cards and letters! I seriously don’t know how you find the time to be so thoughtful! Thank you for making us feel loved!

Ben & DaniAmid time & health challenges, we managed to have a wonderful year of love, family and friends! The year began with Loretta getting to visit dear friends in Oklahoma. Ben & Dani Montoya have been our close friends for 25+ years! We had fun being together, shared some doTERRA and made more friends in the process! I loved getting to be there with all of them.

Then in July we got to go to Parker’s Missionary farewell! We are so proud of him and his choice to serve the Lord in Brazil! We loved his big, long hugs as we said good bye! parker in chatWe love him so much! It was even more thrilling when we got to talk with him at Thanksgiving time!! We enjoyed such a wonderful time with all the Smith family! It’s so nice they are now in Utah. (Brian & Staci are now teaching at BYU!) Geoff especially enjoyed playing guitar with his grandsons! This is a picture at a restaurant right before the food frenzy began… I couldn’t believe all the food those 5 grandsons put Fam dinner 11-2019away! It was a great visit, and the highlights were getting to talk to Parker and Brian getting to meet Karen for the first time! We love that Karen is in our family now.

Karen’s family has been such a blessing to us since we found her through Ancestry DNA! We love them dearly! Brian got to meet her at Thanksgiving time… Of course, the first time they met HAD to be at BlueKaren meets Brian Bowl!

In September, it was such a blessing for Loretta to again attend Convention and enjoy seeing many friends she wouldn’t ordinarily get to spend time with. Julie Rose Prior has stuck by me julie & methrough thick and thin! I’m so excited for the new year when we implement all the training she received in her last trip to Prague. We’re going to simplify and relaunch our doTERRA biz. It’s our hope to be able to help more people the way we have been helped with these amazing products!

Kristi’s so busy with her business lately that we only see her a couple times a week. We recently learned she’s been doing TV work, too! Check her out on the IMDb site here. She was randomly chosen to vote on the movies nominated for Academy Awards, so she has received all those movies to watch. We’ve seen some really good movies that we may not have gone to see otherwise. I am curious now who will win! We’ve also been enjoying Gavin & Alex growing up in our home! We’ve watched them grow and mature and are in awe of their intellect and ability to stand for what is right. Gavin has a wonderful sense of humor and ability to connect withfirst concert Barron Choir friends & family. I may depend way too much on his dependability and organization! Alex has a brilliant ability to see the whole picture. He is like a sponge, constantly learning, but has the gift of being able to explain everything. Maybe he will be President some day! I’m just grateful they get themselves up and off to Seminary every morning without my help! This shot is of them at their first high school choir performance.

Geoff & I count our blessings every day. Those blessings include all of you! I’ve also been blessed to be able to reconnect with cousins and loved ones of yesteryear! Our hearts are full when we realize all that we have because of all of you, and because of our Savior whom we lean on each and every day. We hope and pray that you all are filled with love and happiness. Merry Christmas, and a very prosperous New Year! Oh and yes… that’s Buddy Blake. He loves us and deserved to be in our family shot! Ritchie & Melissa Blake often loans him to us for the unconditional love he shares with us!easter 2019 photo
